SCRA members have opportunities to gather at national, international, and regional events throughout the year.
Community psychologists and allies have several opportunities to meet with others and learn about the field in national, international, and regional events dedicated to community research and action.
SCRA Biennial Conferences draw together SCRA and other community members from around the world to engage in conversations about recent developments in community research and action. The next biennial conference, titled “Celebrating 50 Years of Community Psychology,” will center around the theme of “Innovation, Diversity, and Sustainability: Bridging Past and Future” and be held June 25-28, 2015 on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Lowell. As it becomes available, additional information about the biennial can be found on the 2015 Biennial webpage.

Those looking to connect with community psychologists a little closer to home have ample opportunities to do so in Regional Conferences which are held throughout the year.
In addition to the Biennial and Regional Conferences, SCRA members are well-represented in related conferences throughout the year, such as the American Psychological Association (APA) and American Evaluation Association (AEA) conferences.
Since 2006, community psychologists across the globe have been hosting international conferences during even-numbered years. The 5th International Conference on Community Psychology will took place on September 3-6, 2014, in Fortaleza – Ceará.
We invite you to peruse our Calendar of Events, which includes not only these events, but also many other events that may be of interest to those who are dedicated to strengthening communities through research and action. Members also free to add relevant events to this calendar.
