Strategic Prevention Solutions is hiring a part to full-time Research Associate I to assist with a variety of evaluation and prevention planning projects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research Associate I personnel support all research and evaluation activities at SPS, with assignment to specific project support as needed. Research Associate Is have obtained a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in research, public health, or related field or may be masters-level students with some research experience. These associates have fundamental research qualifications and skills including:
The primary role of a Research Associate I is to provide support to ongoing research and/or evaluation projects. Generally, they are asked to perform the following duties:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a field in which evaluation and program planning skills were learned and practiced. Examples include applied fields such as public health, social work, and community psychology.
Experience: At least one year of hands-on experience doing community-based program planning and evaluation activities. Preference given to candidates who have experience living and/or working among Spanish-speaking and/or Native American/Alaska Native populations. Preference given to candidates who are fluent in Spanish. Preference given to candidates who are geographically located in Anchorage or Juneau, Alaska, but this is not required.

SALARY:
This position is a part to full-time Research Associate I. Salary is negotiable commensurate with skills and experience and is expected to fall within a range of $42,000 – 52,000 annual salary.
