TITLE OF POSITION/RANK: Postdoctoral Project Administrator

DEPARTMENT: Fordham University Center for Ethics Education, Rose Hill                

The Center for Ethics Education seeks a highly qualified early career social-behavioral or public health scientist with demonstrated expertise in multi-method qualitative and quantitative research to serve as project administrator for an innovative NIMHD funded project examining ethical issues in sexual health research involving sexual and gender minority youth.  The position involves a high degree of autonomy; excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to integrate theoretical and methodological approaches to understanding SGMY development and protection of participant rights and welfare. The position is for 1 year with possibility of continuation dependent upon federal funding.  The successful candidate will:


  • Manage research activities on-site and with our off-site partner institution
  • Supervise research assistants
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of in-person and web-based data
  • Assist in the construction and validation of new survey measures
  • Assist in the writing of papers for presentation and publication
  • Have opportunities for developing and conducting project related innovative research


  • Doctoral degree in the social-behavioral sciences or public health
  • Experience with research involving sexual and gender minority populations and behavioral and biomedical approaches to HIV research,
  • Competencies in mixed method designs and research involving social media and other online platforms
  • Experience coordinating project activities, manage multiple priorities, and supervising graduate students
  • Evidence of scholarship including first authored publications in peer-reviewed journals
