Assistant Professor in Community Psychology
Wichita State University
The Psychology Department at Wichita State University seeks to hire a tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Community Psychology to begin Fall 2018. We are open to all areas of research related to community psychology and are especially interested in scholars who can engage in applied research in community settings and evaluation research from a qualitative, quantitative and/or multivariate approach with a strong potential of peer-reviewed publications. The department is particularly interested in applicants who work with diverse populations and underrepresented groups. The department has three PhD programs in clinical, community, and human factors psychology and a large undergraduate student body. The department is research oriented and has an expectation for faculty to seek external funding. Wichita State University is located in the state’s largest city with a population of well over 600,000 in the metropolitan area and is an ideal place to conduct Community Psychology research. Wichita is a vibrant community, with a thriving downtown and a cost of living well below the national average.
