Parent and Community Engagement Coordinator
Children’s Trust of South Carolina is seeking a full-time Parent and Community Engagement Coordinator. The parent and community engagement coordinator will seek to empower and organize parents to develop leadership and advocacy skills and strengthen parent leadership in partner organizations; strengthen community prevention networks to build action plans around protective factors and prevention strategies;  support parents in engaging all sectors of the community in supporting families, including the child welfare system, policymakers and other stakeholders; connect the work of prevention networks and parent leaders; and, assist in the integration and coordination of Children’s Trust funded programs in community and regional areas to support parent  and community prevention initiatives.
 
This position may be a remote position (within South Carolina) and employee could work from home unless another location is specified. The interviews will be conducted in Columbia, SC.
 
Qualifications
Have a bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, public health or other related fields and a minimum of five years related experience in program development working with families and children; master’s degree and a minimum of three years’ experience with program management preferred. Work well in a team environment across multiple agencies and funding partners, be assertive and persuasive as necessary while maintaining positive and productive relationships.
