The Oregon Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Needs (OCCYSHN) is seeking a full-time Research Associate. OCCYSHN is Oregon’s public health agency for children and youth with special health care needs. We collaborate with the Oregon Health Authority’s Maternal and Child Health section to implement Oregon’s Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant.
The Research Associate supports OCCYSHN assessment and evaluation. This includes ongoing, population-based surveillance of Oregon’s children and youth with special health needs, and program evaluation of OCCYSHN interventions. Duties include:
The successful applicant will have a Master of Science (PhD preferred) in public health, program evaluation, social sciences, public administration, social work, or a related field. At least three years of experience conducting program evaluation or research are required.
Experience with the following preferred: OCCYSHN’s target population; culturally responsive services and evaluation; collaboration with communities of color and other underrepresented groups; Spanish language fluency; electronic survey administration; qualitative data collection and analysis; Maternal and Child Health Bureau Title V public health framework.
