The Education Specialist and Program Coordinator (ESPC) has programmatic responsibility for the diversity, equity and inclusion educational programs, workshops and trainings for students residing in campus College, Housing and Educational Services (CHES) residence halls and apartments. The ESPC utilizes their expertise in the field to develop, implement, and deliver trainings with a high degree of autonomy. The ESPC will lead all planning and development efforts, forming a collaborative team as needed to ensure success in a program that crosses divisions. The ESPC supports the ODEI team with programs for the campus community more broadly. The ESPC manages the CHES Student Diversity and Inclusion Program, the Diversity Facilitators Team, and assists with oversight of the Student Diversity and Inclusion Online Introductory module. In this capacity, the ESPC recruits, selects, supervises, trains and evaluates student interns. In addition, the incumbent assists with research on matters affecting campus climate, assesses diversity and inclusion efforts and works on special projects as needed to ensure a positive campus climate where all are able to thrive and succeed.
