The Department of Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois at Chicago is dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of disability. We invite candidates for a tenure-track faculty appointment as Assistant Professor from the fields of health or social sciences who is working specifically on disability in one of the following areas: health promotion, social epidemiology (or a related public health area), health policy, assistive technology and/or health technology, or education policy.
PhD degree required. The position requires demonstrated research and scholarship in disability and previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level. Candidates should have a demonstrated track record in extramural funding and/or exceptional promise for fundable research. Priority will be given to applicants who have completed a post-doctoral research fellowship or have a minimum of two years independent research experience.
