Coordinator for the Dayton Corps AmeriCorps Initiative

The University of Dayton's Fitz Center for Leadership in Community seeks a vibrant leader to serve as coordinator for the Dayton Corps AmeriCorps initiative. Dayton Corps is an AmeriCorps program through ServeOhio, administered by the University of Dayton Fitz Center for Leadership in Community in partnership with the City of Dayton. 

Dayton Corps is committed to addressing three critical areas for community leadership and shared partnership. In Dayton Corps, members serve at local non-profits in three areas:

  • neighborhood leadership development, 
  • housing insecurity and employment, and 
  • education 

Members also participate in weekly member trainings and statewide AmeriCorps trainings and events.

The coordinator facilitates the details, partnerships and execution of the Dayton Corps AmeriCorps program. Day to day responsibilities include recruiting, communicating, mentoring, placing, mentoring, tracking, supporting and orientating AmeriCorps members in each of the three core areas: Dayton Neighborhood Corps, Dayton Opportunity Corps, and Dayton Education Corps.
