Position: Research Associate

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Position:  CES Research Associates work with clients to answer their key questions, problem solve, and build organizational and evaluation capacity to maximize growth and improve program performance and contribute to social change. The position is available beginning April 1, 2019. The position reports directly to the President of CES. Please submit resume and salary requirements to No phone calls please.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Understand the needs and challenges facing our clients
  • Analyze quantitative data using SPSS
  • Analyze qualitative data using MAXQDA, Atlas.ti, or other qualitative software
  • Develop, administer, and analyze results of online surveys
  • Develop protocols for focus groups and/or key informant interviews, conduct interviews, facilitate focus groups and evaluation workshops
  • Prepare and present findings in a variety of formats and make recommendations to clients
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients
  • Manage projects to ensure all work is completed on time, on budget, and client expectations are exceeded
  • Other duties as assigned 

Research Associate qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Evaluation or Public Health preferred
    • Minimum of two years of experience providing consulting with nonprofits, foundations and/or state and federally funded projects
  • Experience using SPSS or SAS; Experience using qualitative software
  • Experience in creating dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau, Excel, or other platforms
  • High level of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical skills; keen insight for solving problems with relevant, cost effective solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Active listener with ability to understand client needs; encourage and recognize diverse values and perspectives
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Requires minimal supervision
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
