The Homelessness Research and Action Collaborative addresses the challenges of homelessness through research and evidence- based science that uncovers conditions that lead to homelessness.
The Homelessness Research and Action Collaborative’s goal is to help reduce homelessness and its negative impacts on individuals, families, and communities. The collaborative brings together the expertise and skills of each of Portland State University’s colleges and schools, and collaborates with people experiencing homelessness, advocates, service providers, city and county policy- makers and other stakeholders.
The Assistant Director: Serves as a managerial, administrative, and intellectual colleague of the center director and the director of research. Together, they form the leadership team of the Homelessness Research and Action Collaborative and work closely to achieve the center’s goals.
The assistant director plays a central role in ensuring the vision for the center is realized by supervising the daily operations and ensuring financial resources are deployed strategically. The assistant director reports to the director, who reports to the vice president for Research and Graduate Studies.
