Community Psychology Faculty position at the American University-Cairo

Sep 30, 2019

The Department of Psychology at the American University in Cairo is accepting applications for an open rank full-time position in the field of Community Psychology beginning Fall 2020. The Department currently offers an advanced undergraduate track and an MA in Community Psychology with a strong emphasis on community-based and experiential learning.  Our programs are well-established with a broad network of community partners and many opportunities for collaboration.  Please see the complete ad for the position here:

AUC is accredited by Middle States and offers an American-style liberal arts program in English. It is one of the oldest and few U.S.-accredited universities worldwide, established in 1919.  The University provides assistance to relocating faculty, including housing, transportation, and orientation to life in Cairo.  The Psychology Department is highly collegial with mentoring for new faculty; small grants for conference travel and research; bright and engaged students; and a beautiful, state-of-the-art campus on the outskirts of Cairo.

Please forward this email to your networks and anyone you think might be interested.  As an American (and community psychologist) who relocated to AUC seven years ago with my family, I would be happy to talk with any potential candidates about life and work in Egypt.  cforden@aucegypt.edu
