General Summary

The Research Project Coordinator will assist the Project Director and PI in meeting project goals and timelines. The Research Project Coordinator will assist in guiding project operations, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, and writing manuscripts. The Research Project Coordinator will also aid in training staff and may be responsible for a specific area within the project.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Facilitate project development, operations, and staff in a university office and community setting for the grant (40%)
  • Maintain close contact with consultants and key community figures regarding data collection and the overall progress of the grant (20%)
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of staff and volunteers (15%)
  • Assist PI in writing research papers and reports (15%)
  • Assist PI in strategic planning, developing budgets, and setting timelines (10%)

Education & Experience

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Psychology or equivalent combination of education and experience. Doctoral candidates (those who have completed all degree requirements except the dissertation) are also welcome to apply. Candidates should have an interest in gaining experience to pursue a higher level of education in Psychology.

Other Skills & Abilities Required

  • Knowledge of SPSS and data management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Participation in weekly project meetings
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
