Applications for the 2018 Center for Health Equity Research (CHER) Institute are currently being accepted! Learn about NIH funding mechanisms, proposal development and application strategies from nationally renowned NIH-funded researchers.

Participants of this six-day intensive summer training program will receive:

  • Mentoring and educational experiences focused on theory-based, culturally informed methods for effective community engagement in health equity research.
  • Guidance for developing a Specific Aims page and other components of an NIH research proposal.
  • Opportunities to share ideas and increase your professional network with other junior researchers in similar situations from across the country.
  • A stipend to cover travel and meal expenses (some limits apply to local applicants).
