The CCHMC Division of Emergency Medicine Disparities Working group is a collaborative team of researchers, educators and clinicians seeking to address social, racial, and economic disparities in care delivery with intentional research, academic output and direct interventions in the Pediatric Emergency Department (PED) and in the community. The goal of the team is to improve standards of care and outcomes for every patient by identifying and reducing disparities in care. We conduct multidisciplinary collaborative research and implementation projects in the PED, at CCHMC and in our community. We network with regional and national disparity working groups, mentor and nurture future leaders, educate students, our peers and the public, and advocate for policies seeking to reduce inequities in health care delivery and health outcomes.
