ECIG CP Interventions Speaker Series:
The program explores utilizing book clubs as a primary prevention strategy to disrupt the cycle of substance abuse among vulnerable children in substance-prone communities. The study combined a literature review, qualitative and
quantitative analysis, and community engagement to demonstrate the effectiveness of this innovative approach. Results indicated significant positive impact on participants’ cognitive and emotional well-being, advocating
for the integration of book clubs in community-based prevention efforts.
