Professional Bio

I am a community psychologist working on fundamental human rights using core CP competencies, including creating alternative settings, knowledge mobilization, facilitating participatory processes, critical conscientisation, applied research, coaching mentorships, and consultation. My primary focus is developing political capital for all-people seeking refuge, displaced migrants, and other marginalized “communities on the move.” Amplifying the group’s voices through advocacy and activism, action-oriented participatory and multi-method research, social equality, and community education training.

CP and Me

My introduction to CP started while I was searching for a doctoral degree to advance my knowledge as a refugee advocate and community service administrator—the relationship felt like a marriage made in Orun. CP offers a critical lens for conducting liberatory, ethico-onto-epistemological inquiry-oriented work and glocal networking. CP professional societies and practice competencies become the adopted orientation to gauge my more-than-human pluriverse.
