The New Direction of SCRA
Advancing towards a Network-driven model
The SCRA executive committee has been working with IOTA consultants to move us in a new direction. Students have been involved at various stages of data collection, strategic planning, and advocacy and we are excited to share the new pillars we are adopting below! Thank you to all students who completed the survey or participated in an interview with IOTA!

BUILD: Establish a vibrant community of changemakers through collaboration, digital platforms, partnerships, and outreach. The network drives knowledge-sharing, collective action, and volunteerism. With top-tier resources and a strong leadership team, we can execute initiatives and attract investment.
- Build a strong community network
- Institutionalize anti-oppression and anti-racism practices
ENABLE: Empower changemakers by providing training, mentorship and fostering collaboration. We amplify community efforts and share research to boost the effectiveness of community psychology.
- Build capacity and empowerment
- Measure and amplify impact
SCALE: Grow our impact by expanding engagement, securing funding, and sharing success stories. Our tech-enabled model fosters inclusion and active participation through scalable, measurable initiative.
- Foster interdisciplinary and international collaborations
- Mobilize resources and achieve sustainability
The SCRA International Committee, in collaboration with the Council on Education, invites students to join a student-facilitated discussion exploring critical perspectives on global education.
